Lauren Nelson is a beauty queen from Lawton, Oklahoma who is Miss America 2007. She was also the youngest contestant to become Miss Oklahoma.

Masami Nagasawa

Masami Nagasawa was born on June 3, 1987 in Iwata, Shizuoka, Japan. She is a Japanese actress. She has appeared in the many famous television dramas including Dragon Zakura. In 27th Japanese Academy Awards, she won an award for the 'Best Newcomer' prize in Robokon.

Karisma Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor aka "Lolo" was born on 25 June 1974 in Mumbai, India. She is a popular Indian actress who has worked in many successful Bollywood movies.

Karisma made her debut in the 1991 movie Prem Qaidi and has since then acted in more than sixty-five movies.

Karisma played the female lead in Raja Hindustani (1996) also starring Aamir Khan. The movie was a major hit and she won her first Filmfare Award as Best Actress. The next year, she won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) also starring Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit.

Tricia Helfer

Tricia Helfer was born on April 11, 1974 in the rural community of Donalda in Stettler County, Alberta. She is a Canadian supermodel and actress best known as Number Six in Battlestar Galactica.

In 1992, she won Ford Models' Supermodel of the World Contest.

Anna Mucha

Anna Maria Mucha was born on April 26, 1980 in Warsaw, Poland. She is a Polish film and television actor. She is best known to American audiences as the character Danka Dresner in the movie Schindler's List.

My Love Each Other / Paris Couture For Sure nails. I couldn't take a decent picture, but at least this shows how sparkly Paris Couture For Sure is. I'm holding OPI Designer Series Design.




I swatched a few of my newest polishes. I forgot to label them. I don't remember which ones they are. I know that the top right is Design, bottom left is China Glaze Kaleidoscope Him Out. I'll come back and label them when I can figure out which is which. I just thought it was a pretty picture.

I've been really into nail polish lately. I realized that I'm blessed with very nice nails, and I'm taking advantage of it.

Last week I changed my nails three times. First was Revlon Midnight Affair, which I hated. I covered it with China Glaze Ruby Pumps, which made this awesome blackened red with insane glitter. Very cool. After that I did OPI Black with Creative Limelight. That was AWESOME. I should take pictures.

Finally today I got tired of dark nails and just did the coolest french manicure ever.

ORLY (hahaha... ORLY?) Love Each Other with OPI Paris Couture For Sure tips. The ORLY (YARLY) is a fascinating purple-pink barely there shimmery iridescent glaze. You have to catch the light just so to be able to notice it on bare nails, but it's really cool over black. Paris Couture For Sure is a dense yet fine silver holographic glitter and my tips look like they're covered in diamonds. Stunning. I think this is my new favorite combination. I'm going to have to get a second bottle.

I went to ULTA today and finally got my hands on OPI Designer Series Glamour! It's the most unique color I have seen... Kind of dark blue but kind of purple at the same time. It's different every time you look at it. I could stare at it for hours.

I'm kind of in the mood for neon colors. I saw China Glaze Pink Voltage at ULTA and now I want it. It's a little hookerish, but it's SO BRIGHT. I have a lot of the China Glaze neons, but not this one! It burns my retinas.

Kajol

Kajol Devgan Mukherjee was born on August 5, 1975 in Mumbai, India. She is a popular Bollywood actress. Her debut film was Bekhudi in 1992.

In 1997 she starred in Gupt: The Hidden Truth which was one of the highest grossing films of the year and she became the first female actor to win the Filmfare Best Villain Award, for her performance. She is also the first actress to receive the same award for the same film from the Zee Cine Awards in 1998.

Her cousins Rani Mukherjee, Sharbani Mukherjee and sister Tanisha Mukherjee are also part of the Indian film industry.

I've been on an etailer frenzy this month. I don't know what's gotten into me!

I think I've ordered from ten or so different etailers this month alone. I really wanted Coconut Hut, but she's closed until April. So I got the next best (or better) thing: Skindazzles. I freaking adore Skindazzles. The only problem is she's in Canada, so even if she ships my order the next day it still takes two weeks to get here. Well worth it, but the wait is TORTURE.

Sad Skindazzles-related story: I've been trying to actually finish some products. Working through my stash was one of my New Year's Resolutions. I finished my Skindazzles Halloween Cupcakes Whipped Body Frosting (absolutely divine, by the way) and went looking for the rest. I opened my Iced Black Tea Whipped Body Frosting and was shocked- it had grown little orange spots!! Mold! EEEW! It was only five months old! Mayan Gold also fell victim to the weird lotion mold. Luckily, Blueberry Cobbler, Happy Birthday and Buttercream Crunch survived.

In all of my years of collecting (read: hoarding) bath and body products, I have only had one other thing grow mold. And actually, it didn't grow mold, it came to me moldy. A glitterbug from LUSH that they wouldn't even replace! Bastards.

Moving on... So many topics to address, so little time!

I'm absolutely in love with TiGi Brunette Goddess shampoo and conditioner. It works great, but the most important thing about it is the scent. Incredible. Like thick, sugary almond buttercream. It's so unique and I can't live without it now. All it needs is to have more products in the line! Just shampoo and conditioner? Weak.

Since Brunette Goddess is lacking in product variety, I have two other hair product loves. Carol's Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner and HealthySexyHair Pumpkin Potion Leave-In Conditioner.

Carol's Daughter. I won't lie, the only reason I bought it is because it says "vanilla". When I got it I was a little surprised and slightly confused. The scent wasn't really that vanilla... It is kind of a dirty smelling chai vanilla scent. Funky but not bad. The bad part is the texture. It is WATER. It's not oil, not cream, but weird watery... something. I have never seen a watery conditioner like this.

Despite the weird texture and smell, I decide to use it. Surprise! It's awesome. It doesn't weigh down hair or make it look greasy, but it does make it shiny and smooth. It's unlike any serum or leave-in I've used. The scent on hair is much better than in the bottle. Kind of a flat vanilla, almost coconutty. The best part is I can keep adding more and more without my hair getting greasy. A word to the wise, though- be careful trying to get it out of the bottle. Like I said, this is basically vanilla-scented water and it WILL pour out all over your countertop.

Come on Carol's Daughter, who puts water in a flip open bottle? At least put it in a pump or sprayer! Weirdos.

On to the Pumpkin Potion. Doesn't do a whole lot to my hair, but is smells like PUMPKIN PIE. Yep. Anyone who knows me knows I also have an unhealthy obsession with all things pumpkin.

What else... Hmm...

OPI! I love OPI. I absolutely love OPI Designer Series polish. It's so freaking cool. It's extremely smooth, the most excellent holographic shimmer you have ever seen, and it has the PRO WIDE BRUSH. Mmm... love that Pro Wide brush. You have to see this stuff. I'll try to post some pictures, but it's so hard to capture on film.

MAC for Barbie. Or is it Barbie for MAC? Either way I'm psyched!! I have a love/hate relationship with the whole "Barbie" image and what it entails, but one thing is for sure... Barbie always has great makeup. Besides, can I ever pass up hot pink lipgloss and green eyeshadow? Nope.

You know what smell I hate? I hate the smell of freshly showered people. Ugh, it nauseates me. I do not enjoy the soap and water scent outside the shower. I don't understand the whole clean perfume trend. Do you want to smell like cheap soap? If so, why?

Only exception is Philosophy Pure Grace. It doesn't really smell like soap to me, but it is light and clean. It smells like Amazing Grace, but crisper if that makes sense.

Okay, there is one other exception. Irish Spring. It smells so good. It doesn't smell like soap, it smells like... a spring. In Ireland. Something like that. I won't use the soap because it's hell for your skin, but I did buy a spray from Cleanse Your Soul that smells just like it. I tried the one from Bathed and Infused, but it smells absolutely nothing like Irish Spring.

Bathed and Infused sucks. Not one thing I ordered from them smells anything like it should, the lotions are weak, thin and not moisturizing, and it costs too much for such a cheap product. As disappointed as I am in the products, I was tempted to buy the "Rock Candy" scent to see if it really smells like Rock Star. Hmm. We'll see.

Natalie Portman

Natalie Portman was born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel.. She is a Golden Globe-winning, Academy Award-nominated Israeli-American actress.

In the late 1990s, she was cast as Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Her recent roles include: Garden State, Closer, and V for Vendetta. For Closer, she received a Golden Globe, and was nominated for an Academy Award.

Portman is currently filming The Other Boleyn Girl, a historical drama in which she will play Anne Boleyn; Eric Bana and Scarlett Johansson will co-star in the film.

Meera Jasmine

Meera Jasmine was born on 15 February 1984 in Kuttappuzha, Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta District, Kerala, India. She is an Indian actress acting in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. She won India's National Film Award for Best Actress in 2004 for her role in 2003 Malayalam film Paadhom Onnu: Oru Vilaapam.

Katie Melua

Ketevan "Katie" Melua was born on 16 September 1984 in Kutaisi, Georgian SSR. She is a British singer and musician, who was born in Georgia, but moved to Northern Ireland at the age of eight and then relocated to England at the age of 14. She is, as of 2006, the United Kingdom's biggest-selling female artist and Europe's highest selling European female artist.

In November 2003, at the age of just 19, Melua released her first album, Call Off the Search, which reached the top of the United Kingdom album charts and sold 1.2 million copies within its first five months of release.

On 2 October 2006, Melua entered the Guinness Book of Records for playing the deepest underwater concert 303 metres below sea level on Statoil's Troll A platform in the North Sea.

Esha Deol

Esha Deol was born on November 2, 1982. She is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. Esha is the first daughter of actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini and half-sister to actors Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. She also has a younger sister, Ahana. She debuted in Bollywood with Hindi movie Koi Mere Dil Se Poonchhe and also won Filmfare Best Debut Award and Star Screen Award Most Promising Newcomer for this in 2002.

It seems that lots of people have been googling me recently. Just last week someone found me by googling, "whipped assed videos". You might want to check my other blog for that one... heh.

Just a quick couple of comments for now:

WTF is up with Revlon? Just who do they think they are? I got a little excited when I saw the new Dark Pleasures Blacker Lacquer colors, and I bought Midnight Affair without a second thought.

I looked at my receipt a while later and realized that I had paid SEVEN DOLLARS FOR REVLON. OPI is only .50 more and infinitely better.

I used the polish tonight and I am incredibly disappointed. It is terrible. It's chalky, chunky and dull. The brush is tiny and sucks. It takes forever to dry. It looks pretty in the bottle but just looks like black on my nails. I feel stupid.

Seriously, Revlon, WTF. First of all, you suck. Second, you are now charging high-end prices for your crap! Eleven dollar drugstore eyeshadow?! If it was good I'd definitely pay more for it, but it's still the same cheap, chalky crap as ever.

Revlon, you are a drugstore line. Behave like one.


Also, LUSH North America price increase today. I had sworn off LUSH for their shitty customer service and hadn't purchased anything but the discontinued stuff in the summer. Recently I decided I needed more bubble bars, so I ordered a ton of stuff. It's already expensive for an inexpensive product with absolutely no packaging (or packaging that is useless and leaks) and now they're raising prices again. This company needs to get their act together. Seriously.

Angel Locsin

Angel Locsín was born on April 21, 1985 in Bulacan, Philippines. is a Filipina television and film actress who was introduced in GMA Network's youth-oriented program, Click. Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004.
She has also been known as the current sex symbol of the Philippines. FHM (Philippine edition) magazine consistently lists her as one of the "100 Sexiest Women in the World", as well as sexiest Filipina, ranking No. 2 behind Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.

Simran

Simran Bagga was born on April 4, 1976 in Mumbai, India. She is an Indian film actress and her real name is "Rishibala". She made her debut in the Hindi film Tere Mere Sapne. She later on moved south to the Tamil and Telugu movie industry where she established herself as an actress of repute. Her notable films include Kanannethere Thondrinal, Vaali and Kannathil Muthamittal.

Simran is a versatile dancer and can perform Bharatanatyam with the same ease as she performs Salsa.

Tone Damli Aaberge

Tone Damli Aaberge was born on April 12, 1988. She is a Norwegian singer who finished second in Season 3 of the Idol (Norway).

Her debut album, "Bliss", was a mix of pop, jazz and country, and it sold very well, and received mixed critics.

Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza was born on 9 December 1981 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. She is an Indian model and actress and Miss Asia Pacific for the year 2000. She was also second runner up in the Miss India 2000 beauty contest where winner was Lara Dutta and first runner up was Priyanka Chopra.

She made her cinematic debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein opposite R. Madhavan.

Bar Refaeli

Bar Refaeli was born on June 4, 1985. She is an Israeli international supermodel with blue eyes.

Bar won the title "Model of the year" in a beauty contest in 2000, and in 2001 she won the same title again. She is the first Israeli model ever to be featured in Sports Illustrated magazine.

Luisana Lopilato

Luisana Loreley Lopilato was born May 18, 1987. She is a popular Argentine actress and model. She also perfomed major role in popupar soap opera Rebelde Way.

Bhumika Chawla

Bhumika Chawla was born on 21 August 1978 in Delhi. She is an Indian actress.

Her first feature film Yuvakudu in Telugu with Sumanth was released in 2000. She also attracted the Hindi film industry through her work in Tere Naam opposite Salman Khan in 2003.

Jeon Hye Bin

Jeon Hye Bin was born on September 27th, 1983. She is a South Korean actress and singer. She found mainstream success in 2005 as Bin, her Korean pop stage name.

Inspired by the person who hit my blog by googling "GULP BPAL" yesterday:

Gulp is NOT BPAL. It is FeMaledictions and it smells awful. I wouldn't suggest buying it unless you want to smell like a greasy taco. Cause that's what it smells like. Tacos. And grease.

I wouldn't recommend FeMaledictions. I have nothing positive to say about that "company".

My two cents on FeMaledictions?

Shipping took forever, no turnaround time stated on the website, after responding to my first email there was no communication whatsoever and no response to my additional emails, the oils are very cheap in quality and not unique. The product I ended up with was cheap base oil visibly separated from cheap fragrance oil. The stuff won't even mix back together! Everything I ordered resembles a lava lamp.

Everything that I ordered was either too weak and greasy to smell, or smelled exactly like stuff I have ordered from other etailers. Unique my ass. I was missing an item that I ordered and it was replaced with something I didn't order. My box was filled with advertisements for companies that have nothing to do with fragrance or bath and body products.

The pros? Everything was labeled nicely and the "viles" are large. They're about twice the size of the standard 1/32oz vial.

Apart from other issues that arose after I had ordered, the website it an eyesore. It's so hard to navigate and the color scheme is not conducive to a pleasurable shopping experience. It is conducive to squinty headaches, though.


Now, BPAL (Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab) on the other hand is wonderful. Be prepared to wait a month or two for your order to be shipped. The product is well worth it. The best items, I've found, are the Limited Editions that are released quite often. Lunar oils, seasonal oils, special series such as Carnaval Diabolique.

Now, don't call me a BPAL fangirl, cause I'm not into that. What I will say is that BPAL is infinitely superior to pretty much all fragrance oil companies. The quality of the oils is incomparable. They are unique within the fragrance market (though a lot of the scents are similar to each other) and they are very often imitated.

Personally, I own over 300 (most likely more, I haven't counted in a while) different Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab oils. My personal favorites are: Monster Bait: Closet, Monster Bait: Underpants, Bliss, De Sade, Chrysanthemum Moon, Beaver Moon, Mme. Moriarty Misfortune Teller, Miskatonic University, Dorian, Snake Oil, Samhain, Trick or Treat, Snow White, Red Lantern, Jack, Loviatar, Vice, Jolasveinar... The list can go on forever.

What I would like to say to you if you are considering making a purchase from a perfume oil etailer is this: Do your research and make an educated purchase. Know who you are buying from and how they treat their customers. Without good customer service, a company is worthless. Why bite the hand that feeds you?


On the same tangent, I will, however, buy fragrance oils from bath and body etailers. I love to buy as many samples as I can just to see if I like the scents. I know full well that these places use pre-manufactured stock oils in their scents, and I am okay with that. The reason? They are not claiming to be unique, hand-blended oils, and they do not mainly sell perfumes. I am too lazy to buy stock oils and blend my own scents and make my own lotion and bubble bath or what have you. I would love for someone else to do it for me, and put it in a pretty package with a goofy name.

Wow, that was more of a rant than I planned. It's early, it's Saturday, I'm going back to bed.

In 2004 she had a hit with the song "Here I Go Again", a cover version of a Whitesnake song.

Mandaryna has her own dance show called "Let's dance - Zrobie dla was wszystko where she is teaching celebrities and ordinary people how to dance.

Beyonce Knowles

Beyoncé Knowles was born on September 4, 1981. She is a Grammy Award-winning American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, Golden Globe Award-nominated actress, dancer, fashion designer and model. Beyoncé rose to fame as the lead singer of R&B girl group Destiny's Child, the best-selling female group of all time with over fifty million records sold.

After a series of commercially-successful releases with the group, Beyoncé released her debut solo album Dangerously in Love in 2003. The album became one of the biggest commercial successes of the year, topping the album charts in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

Pia Trivedi

Pia Trivedi, the diva of the Indian modelling world. She is a ramp model, a popular VJ for Channel V and also appeared in the Kingfisher Swimsuit calendar for two consecutive years.

Pia also performed in the chart buster song ‘Right here, right now’ from the Bollywood film Bluffmaster where she featured alongside bigwigs such as Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra.

Dulce Maria

Dulce María was born on December 6, 1985 in Mexico City, Mexico. She is a Mexican actress and singer. She began her acting career as a child and made her first television appearance at the age of eight, in Plaza Sesamo, the Mexican version of Sesame Street.

In 1996, she became a member a musical group called Kids that recorded some hit singles such as "La Mejor de Tus Sonrisas" and "Prende el Switch". Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Dee Lohan was born on July 2, 1986 in New York City. She is an American actress and pop music singer. Lohan started in show business as a child fashion model for magazine ads and television commercials. At age ten, she began her acting career in a soap opera; at eleven, she made her motion picture debut by playing both twins in Disney's 1998 remake of The Parent Trap. Lohan's breakout role as a leading actress came six years later with 2004's Mean Girls.
Lohan was voted #10 on the list of "100 Sexiest Women" by readers of FHM. All of the top ten—except Paris Hilton—gained fame as actresses, including Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry.

Yana Gupta

Yana Gupta is a Czech model-actress currently working in India. She has appeared on numerous magazine covers, including Lakme, ELLE, Cosmopolitan and Femina. Gupta modeled for the premier Kingfisher's calendar and has performed dance numbers in three films including the remix of babuji zara dheere chalo.

Before her career in Bollywood, she modeled for international clients like Calvin Klein and Victoria's Secret. She drew much attention in Europe.

Gupta made her big screen debut in the Bollywood movie "Dum" for the song 'Babuji' which made her famous for cameo item numbers.

Now she is planning to launch her own music album, and she will write, compose the music and sing the songs. All the songs will be in English, and she won't be accepting any other offers till she is done with this project.
